In 2004 I was living in the wilderness near Mont Tremblant, Quebec. While browsing at a local thrift shop, I found some beautiful rusty orange drapes and a taupe wool blanket from the resort.
I was interested in creating a simple and thus easily replicable coat pattern, so I used these materials to create a basic coat crafted from 2 rectangles of fabric. Subsequently, I added large cuffs, pockets, and a spacious hood with fur trim.
This coat has attracted a great deal of attention and order requests over the years!
